Sand-skiing in Turkmenistan

This is David Tugas from PM10 a team on the 2012 Mongol Rally. We think that David might have just introduced a new sport to Turkmenistan. The Karakum desert is one of the dryest in the world and doesn't see much snow, this minor fact didn't stop David from bringing his skis though and he decided the sandy roads would make the perfect place to take up a bit of drag-skiing. After what can only be described as a jolly successful outing David donated the skis and boots to a bemused local. We think it'll catch on and if you see Turkmenistan winning a host of medals at the next Winter Olympics you'll know why.
