The Adventurists invite you to the mother of all bicycle races; the World Cycle Race.
Riders cycle 18,000 miles around Planet Earth in an easterly or westerly direction without going back on themselves and passing through two antipodal points en route. The WCR is a single stage race and the clock runs continuously until all the riders have have lapped our planet and reached the finish line at their point of departure.
The rules of the WCR are designed to follow the Guinness World Record for Circumnavigation by bicycle.
The current ladies Guinness World Record for fastest circumnavigation by bicycle is 152 days and 1 hour (Juliana Buhring – 2012)
The current gentleman’s Guinness World Record for fastest circumnavigation by bicycle is 125 days 21 hours and 15 minutes (Alan Bate – 2010)
