Mongol Rally 2012 Photos: mountains, deserts and melons

by Rosa on: 6 Aug 2012 categories: Mongol Rally,

The latest and finest photos filed by the Mongol Rally 2012 teams. Follow their updates on the Live Tracking Map here.

If journeying over mountains, deserts in an intentionally unsuitable car is what does it for you, have a perve over these shots fresh from the teams on the road. There's a man on a highway in his pants (Adventurists pants no less), a lady selling wooly camels, a 50 hour boat trip, a lake that is now a desert and other highlights from the mighty Mongol Rally.

Sign up for next summer is open now - head over to the website to nab your spot for 2013.

It's not all mountains and sunsets of course, other teams have been charting life on the road, including some nifty hand drawn cartography, some tow rope action and an ingenius use for oven gloves that we can guarantee 100% you will not have thought of before but will be very impressed by.

Here's some of the sites you'll miss if you book onto a 10 day temple tour around Eurasia instead of a proper adventure.
