Saving the World
The Rickshaw Run has whipped up a mountain of charity cash over the years - the current total stands at just shy of £1 million. To find out how the charities make use of all that money, take a peek at how Rickshaw Run teams, past and present are busy Saving the World.
When you become a team on the Rickshaw Run we ask you to try and raise a minimum of £1000 for charity. Over the years this has changed the lives of hundreds of thousands of people in some of the poorest parts of India. Fund-raising can be fun too, why not gather sponsorship for jumping out of a plane, or wearing your underpants on your head for a month? All the money you raise goes directly to the charities so everyone know exactly where their donations go.
The official charity for the Rickshaw Run is currently Frank Water who set up seriously needed fresh water stations in parts of India which have no access to clean, safe drinking water.
