Nearly £2 million donated and still rising
Since 2004 teams on the Mongol Rally have raised nearly £2 million for charity - no mean feat we like to think. You can find out how the charities make excellent use of this money in our Saving the World part of the site.
As a team on the Mongol Rally we ask you to raise a minimum of £1000 for charity, at least £500 of which goes to the Official Rally Charity. There are loads of ways to raise this money from hosting parties to jumping out of aeroplanes or just asking your chums to donate a bit of loose change. All the money you raise you pay directly to the charities so everyone know exactly where their donations go.
In 2012 the official Mongol Rally charity is the Lotus Children's Centre Charitable Trust. They work with vulnerable children and families to provide the basic human rights of shelter, food and education. LCCT care for up to 150 abused, orphaned and abandoned children at any one time.
