Honda C90 - Wayne Barrett
Very few have come close to the legend that is Wayne. A more unassuming gentleman you will never meet, but behind his placid exterior lies a complete mentalist. On being knocked off his Honda C90 in Poland he disentangled himself to find all his clothes and map were soaked in petrol. Instead of the perhaps more obvious choice of washing them he threw them away. This left him with the clothes on his back, no maps and 95% of the journey still to complete.
Although this was not the most promising start the crazy bastard carried on. He crashed no less than 33 times. He had no tent so he slept in his sleeping bag in garage forecourts or just wild in the desert.
On reaching the wilds of Siberia it started to rain. Being Siberia it rained for four days solid and the temperature was dropping to around zero. Also being Siberia there was nowhere to stop so the poor bugger rode solidly without sleep for four days, until he crashed and slept where he lay.
He made it to the end an oily stinking mess but a hero none the less. Wayne returned in 2007 and upped the stakes by taking a 50cc monkey bike. Stand back in awe at the Barrett legend.
