September

The September event takes on all that the other two un-routes cannot manage. A ball-squishingly exciting journey is mapped out from beautiful, tribal Shillong (just a stones throw from the wettest place on earth), all the way across the breadth of India to Jaisalmer - the quintessential desert oasis in the far West of the country. If you did wish to attempt to see some of these ‘sights’ which normal holidays talk about then you may wish to consider sighting these...
- Why not push your rickshaw to its limit getting it to Darjeeling to sample a cup of what is quite rightly the most celebrated tea in the world, whilst gazing at the highest peak on Earth.
- Drop into Bodhgaya and witness the sacred site where Lord Buddha is said to have obtained enlightenment.
- Be awe-struck and humbled by Varanasi, one of the oldest and most important spiritual places on earth.
- Drive via Agra to see the worlds greatest erection for a woman - the breathtaking Taj Mahal.
- Get lost in the glorious, gargantuan mayhem which is Delhi.
- Explore beautiful and sacred Pushkar. The spiritual power here will blow your mind if the special lassis haven’t done that already.
This Run has weather, demographics and terrain as varied as a confused schizophrenic sock drawer. A whole subcontinent waits patiently to be traversed by you. Scores of eye-popping things to see and fantastical places to go make this our most diverse, and possibly most interesting Rickshaw Run.
