Launch & Parties

Not since Emperor Nero entered the baths at Agrippa for a late night hoedown has Europe seen such unbridled festivities. We mix several hundred excitable adventurers with lashings of beer and some of the highest quality tunes in various unpredictable venues. The result… the Mongol Rally.

What: The Launch

Where: Goodwood Motor Circuit, Chichester, West Sussex PO18 0PH, Great Britain

When: 12pm Saturday 16th till 12pm Sunday 17th July

There really is nothing better than cramming 800 nervous ralliers and their crap cars into a holding pen. Unless that holding pen also happens to have a race track. Revel in your communal naivety and enrich it with 3 or 4 pints of beer at Goodwood circuit before seeking out chaos in Asia with your fellow teams. If you make it to Ulan Ude you’ll be able to look back hazily and snigger at how little you knew…

The Mongol Rally launch - probably featuring: Spirit of the Rally award, Best (shit) car award, Best pimp job award, People's choice award, Wiener Award, Gadget Twat award, Happy Happy Fun Time Half Hour (half price drinks in the marquee), DJ Penny Metal.

What: Pit Stop

Where: Fun 4 You, Gewann Haagen 7, 69168 Wiesloch, Germany

When: Monday 18th July - Evening

A stop over night for teams on their way through Europe. A mere two hours drive from the legendary Nürburgring where at least one team is bound to permanently wreck their car. There'll be camping, music, a bbq, a bar and they've even made their own beach - so bring your grass skirts and coconuts.

We'll be here - About 16kms South of Heidelberg itself.

You can turn up anytime during the 18th. If you are about early you may get time to take on the high wire course. Tunes will commence until around midnight and once your ready to hit the sack you will be happy to know there is camping is available on-site.

What: Pit Stop

Where: Fogas Haz, Budapest, Akácfa u. 51, 1073, Hungary

When: Wednesday 20th July - 8pm till you're partied out

The Pearl of the Danube has more Palinka, more hot spa’s and more… well just more. It’s also the furthest western extent of the Mongol Empire so it seemed only natural that Ralliers would one day come to sample its earthly delights. Imbibe and chat shit before heading west to the Transfăgărășan - often considered the greatest driving road in the world.

We'll be in one of Budapests best ruin bars - Fogas haz - from 8pm until the last man is standing. This place is the bees knees - and with a glass of wine costing less than a quid we think you'll like it too.

For parking check out EZPARK. They have 24 hour secure spaces nearby which you can book online in advance. What's more they are offering 25% off for all Mongol Rally bookings made before the 30th of June.

For accommodation there's a shit load of hostels nearby at pretty decent prices - you could always pull an all-nighter though.

What: Epic Beach Party

Where: Roma Beach, Mamaia, Constanta, Romania

When: Friday 22nd July - 12pm till you're partied out

The Romanian party is a firm favourite of Rally veterans, perhaps it’s the mix of bow ties and beach wear. Perhaps it's the perfect evolution from sunny beach bbq, to huge dance party, to chilled out sunrise. What we do know is that this is the last big hurrah before teams break away across Central Asia to meet their fate - it’s not to be missed. No really - this is a fucking awesome party.

  • 12pm - Open to Ralliers for beach sports, beers and bbq's
  • 6pm - Veterans meet and greet
  • 8pm - Massive beach group photo with lashings of Palinca in your face
  • 8.30pm - Party

  • 5.44am - Constanta Sun Rise Tradition

Most people end up sleeping on beach loungers or in their cars but there is camping available if you want to catch some Z's.
