How the charity fundraising works

What the charities say...

Adventurists QuoteOne edition of the Rickshaw Run - the summer 2008 adventure - has raised enough money for Frank Water Projects to provide clean, safe drinking water to more than 40,000 people in India. The Adventurists' ethos of designing hardcore adventures that raise huge sums of money for the communities they pass through is proving itself a huge success, long may it continue. Adventurists Quote

Adventurists QuoteThe ingenious and entrepreneurial attitude of the event organizers and drivers themselves is inspiring – and the uniqueness of the Mongol Rally is something Mercy Corps as an innovative organisation can really relate to.Adventurists Quote

How the charity fundraising works

The teams taking part in our adventures raise massive piles of cash for charity (have a goosey-gander through the links above for more info on that). All the teams taking part have to try to raise a minimum amount of money for charity (usually £1000 per team) and thanks to their hard work and clever tricks our target of raising £1 million should be reached this year.

One of our main principles is that we don't blur the line between giving money to charity and having a bloody good adventure. So we don't touch a single penny of the money that is donated, it goes direct to the charity. When you give some of your hard earned cash to a team you can be sure it all goes to the right place.

Each event has a selection of official charities that our teams raise money for. This means that each organisation gets a meaningful sum of money to benefit their projects. It also means we can support projects in the areas our adventures thunder through. You can find out more about each charity following the charity links above.
