Peter Moore
As the world reeled in shock from erupting Icelandic volcanoes, Adventurists gathered from many a country to enjoy another fine Afternoon Tea. Our original speaker, Nick Danziger, had been stranded by the volcanic ash in Israel and Peter gallantly stepped in at the last minute to save our Lapsang.
20th Century Theatre in London's Notting Hill Gate was packed to the eaves for this talk, not another soul could have squeezed into the throng. The Hendricks and Windhoek flowed freely, the cakes were superlative defying and Peter had the crowd clutching their sides.
Amongst the highlights of the day was seeing a girl vomit into her teacup after one too many Hendricks. Exactly how a tea party should end don't you think?
“I've travelled overland from London to Sydney and from Cape Town to Cairo. And more recently I bought a Vespa as old as I am and rode around Italy. I hope my stories convey what I love about travel - the adventure, the laughs, the tough times and the incredible hospitality of people in the most unexpected places. Most importantly, I hope my books make you want to hit the road yourself.” Peter Moore.
