Sarah Cooksey | 30 | UK
Riding experience: Sarah has been riding for 26 years. She completed her BHS stage one and two but ducked out of stage three to teach in America for three months. While there she rescued a horse from a swamp wearing riding boots two sizes too small (Sarah, not the horse). Sarah worked in the horse world for a decade before deciding working in it wasn't going to make her rich enough to keep one, so moved into marketing. She now has a strong willed 17.1hh warmblood x mare, who is almost ready to start competing in dressage, show jumping and cross-country. She will be riding with fiancé Daniel Reeds.
Outdoor/survival experience: Sarah is a true lover of the outdoors, the more remote the better. She prefers to share it only with her fiancé Dan, with whom she describes life as one big adventure. Together they’ve climbed Scafell Pike, a 120m multi pitch route, which Sarah did after only two months climbing experience all on indoor walls. Sarah and Dan have also been charged by an elephant on a horseback safari in Botswana which involved a seven day trek, sleeping outdoors and washing in buckets.
